Zygmunt Jundziłł (1880–1953) can be undoubtedly considered to be of one of the last citizens of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. He was initially associated with the ‘krajowcy’ [natives] party and, during the Second Polish Republic period, he was one of the supporters of Marshal Józef Piłsudski. As a member of BBWR [The Nonpartisan Bloc for Cooperation with the Government], he was a senator between 1930 and 1935. Jundziłł was also a civil law lecturer at the Stefan Batory University in Vilnius as well as an attorney. During World War II, he managed to avoid being arrested.
